Born and raised in Dresden singer-songwriter Ansa Sauermann has lived in Vienna since 2019. After releasing his first single, “Foto” his debut album, “Weisse Liebe,” followed in 2017, including the previously released EP title track, “Reise.” His second album, “Trümmerlotte,” was released 2020. After impressing with gentler tones on his third and last album, “Du kriegst was du brauchst” (2023), Ansa ventures into more challenging territory on his fourth record. With “Gehts noch,” he shifts from introspection to exterospection, from acoustic to electric guitar. Whether supporting Faber, Element of Crime or touring with his own band he has managed to gather many followers with his beautiful and poetic lyrics as well as catchy melodies.
… how & why:
I was introduced to Ansa’s music thanks to a few dear friends and quickly got hooked to a couple of songs. His energy and the straightforward but very lyrical songs captured my attention and I started listening more carefully. I discovered very thoughtful, profound and beautiful lyrics interwoven into well written songs. He recorded several of his songs solo w/ guitar on the A side and a pre-recorded version of the song “” was lathe cut on the B side. A unique session once again!
